    Hit the Tracks

Taken in December in eastern Cali. A bit plain I think - comments?

I keep thinking take a little off of the top, but I really think it can stand as is. Sharp all over and exposed well. Nice work GB1.

Not sure if this makes sense or not. As is, the rails seem to be coming at you, but if you crop the bottom at the point where the left rail touches the edge they seen to be going away and the flatter perspective lifts your view, where as the rails tend to drag it to the bottom in the shot shown.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: Hit the Tracks

Thanks fellows. This one I think is 'Ok' but nothing special. I think the blue and orange work though and the geometry is attractive. Just not special.

Pete, I tried cropping it to see what you mean. I tend to agree ... when you crop off that little bit from the bottom, it seems like the tracks are receding away rather than coming at you. I don't know why, but maybe because the crop makes it seem like you're higher and standing on the train's rear platform as its moving? Ha.. funny how a small change to an image can change so many things.
