    High School Quarterback

Some shots of the Quarterback at their last home game. I was shooting with the Canon Rebel XS EF 75-300mm. I'm not really sure about how i feel about the watermark or if the photos are as sharp as they should be.

Really nice action shots! The watermark is too pronounced, but I'll let someone else inform you how to do it.
There are some really interesting things going on in the 1st photo. The triangle. The different "attitudes" of the players. The ref peeking from behind. Nice composition.

I think #1 is certainly the best of the crop...but speaking of which, I would crop it down to the central two players. The kids walking really reduces the action in the shot. You could maybe even clone out the ref since just a bit if him would be showing in a nice tight crop. #3 has a lot of potential, but he's pretty soft, and that shoulder is pretty blown out. I also agree about the watermark. I thing 20-40% opacity is usually good.

What do you mean when you say the shoulder is pretty blown out & you think a semi clear watermark going through the middle would be good or the same spot just a bit lighter?

    And thank you arne saknussen.

    Re: High School Quarterback

By blown out I'm referring to the total loss of detail due to the shoulder being over exposed. Blown out pretty much refers to highlights that have been over exposed and end up being white blobs. A white point is good...think of the light reflections (catch lights) that you typically see in portraits. They draw you to the eye. In this case though its just too bright. Regarding your sig...just make it less prominent...sticking it in the middle of the image is unneccessary.

Thank you for clearing that up for me and I'll start working on his shoulder and the watermarks once I get onto a pc.
Also I just read the new board rules and will delete two of my photos from this thread so I don't go agaisnt the rules once I get on a pc.
