In the first shot, would there be a way to crop it such that the climber is higher up and showing some of the pro he has placed shows below him? It also looks a tad under-exposed.
The last shot, unfortunately, is a victim of stair steps due to down sizing. I've read that one thing you can do to avoid this is apply a slight gausiean (sp??) blur before the down size. I haven't tried it though.
Lovely pics. The only thing that's distracting, and probably has nothing to do with the actual picture being taken, is the vertical smashing lines you get with your last pic. The jpeg compression must've mushed it up, but as long as it isn't like that in the original great pic!
Excellent photos - I love how those tiny branches are supporting the weight of the climber - perhaps next time you can try and get a little more separation between the tree and the climber.

I was not involved in the climbing, I was driving down Spearfish canyon when I saw him and stopped for a couple of shots. I was standing about 40-50 yards away when I snapped that photo. I was maneuvering for a better angle when I heard a yell and he fell on belay. I haven't visited Yellowstone this year, but plan on it soon, I am fortunate to live in the "area". Yellowstone is about a 5 hour drive for me and these pictures were taken on an 8 hour saturday drive.
I am pretty new to the downsizing for web use and used bi cubic resize. I am experimenting and tried "smart resize" with this one, it's better with regard to jaggies.
