    Some Flowers

Here are some flowers growing in our garden , we call the " Afrikaner " , I do not know what they are called in English . My knowledge of flowers is very poor

The second photo , the leaves on top is distracting , but i would like to hear your comments please .

    Regards
    james

They look like what we call 'marigolds'.
Nice shots. Good saturation of colour.
In the top one I'd clone out the red stem at the top right for a cleaner shot. You've picked a pretty good aperture to blur the background although more is always better in these types of shots.
The bottom one definitely suffers from that leaf over top of the flower. Just go back and move the leaf. I don't think that's cheatiing. Does anyone else?

Great DOF! Pity about that stem in the second pic, but as was mentioned...you can remove it if you are a PS guru. (Or not...)

    Nice vibrant colors.

    Enjoyed looking. Thanks!
    Ruh roh...Where am I?
