    PS overdone

To me the PS work is overdone. You have created an abstract from your image. If that is what you were after than you have done a pretty decent job, but the natural feel and look of the bloom is not there. This is of course a personel opinion and a preference for the natural over the created. Post some more let us get more of a feel for your work.

    Hey Seb,

I enjoy the lightning on your pictures. The contrast betwen the overly saturated colors and the pitch-black background give a rather hypnotic feel to them. I'd say that first picture is especially effective in that regard.

That being said, it doesnt look natural at all. This is clearly an abstract as Old Timer pointed out. According to my untrained eyes (for that kind of work) I would say that you did well but then again, I am not a post-processing specialist.

I'd like to see more of your work.

    Regards

    One of the others Seb...

I would agree with other comments about this not looking natural any more and almost abstract, but I like the first pic as it is visually appealing and thats what it's all about
please do not edit and repost my photos

I really like the first one and I don't care if you moved away from the original photograph (and trust me, I am an incredible nature lover).

Try to experiment more like that, I know lots of people who like this different approach.

Thanks for your comments it is very interesting to see different viewpoints about using photoshop a lot (too much?). I agree it is pretty different from the orignal file, You can consider you camera as something which gives a final product or as a data acquisition system and after you can play with data, I think I like the second one even if like taking good pictures directly out of the camera (which is probably harder than using photoshop).

    Thx

I think you've created some nice abstracts here and while you have departed from the original photos a lot, I think that they turned out rather well... assuming of course that this is what you meant to do. I think that the second one is my favorite, it reminds me of flames, just in the shape of a flower.
