    Flower in sunset

    Comments appreciated.

I took this picture 18 years ago and have never really shown it to anybody. This is the first picture that I post here, and I would love to see what you all think of it.

    What I remember: Canon T70, Vivitar Series 1, 70-210mm, Ektachrome 64

I'm afraid I may not be able to offer much of a critique but the first thing I thought was...wow this looks like a late 70's type shot...that hazy lazy summer feel to it...like the coca cola commercials (I'd like to buy the world a coke and keep it company...) this shot really appeals to me in mood and color and even the blurriness works for me---more of a fine art painting than a photo...I'm sure others will have different opinions...but I think it's a nice first post and welcome aboard...

I think it's a great shot. I like the colors and how they drop off to darkness and I'm a real sucker for silhouettes. Post some more.

I really like this shot, the right mood, colors, I don't even mind the sun in the center.
    Well done, very nice!

    thanks everybody for the feedback.

Natalie: the mood you described is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted it to be warm and soft.
