    Downtown in the Fog

These are 2 images I took about a month ago in the early morning in Downtown Jacksonville, FLA.

    Almo,

Nice shots. Though I don't really like the first one, your second one is prime! Great fading shot, wonderful tones, and a lovely, repeating subject. It fades perfectly at around 3/4 of the frame, so it's great. The first one is just too fogged out for me, but your second one is a keeper!

    Nice shot,

    Jared

I'd echo Jared, the first shot for me looks a bit muddy and doesn't conceal the subject as elegantly as the second as it fades into the top of the frame. I think it would be interesting to try some different tones with this image to see what else would work.

    regards,

    almo,

I like the first one best! But first, let me say the second one is interesting but doesn't strike me as alluring as the first.

As for the first one, the thick mist really draws me in and gives me a feeling of mystery and a sense of the physical quietness that the scene must have had. Did you try to apply sepia tone here? Either way, I feel the dynamic range is a bit limited. Even though I think you want to retain the overall look, I suspect this photo could benefit from some levels or curves adjustments, but not too much of it.

    Keep posting!
