    The River Thames at Night

Hi all .. just something that seems to have worked out despite expectations. I was walking across Westminster Bridge in London and saw this sky .. I just balanced the camera on the parapet, so I'm pretty lucky it turned out as sharp as it did.

    Cheers

Nicvely captured and well done considering the scenario that you described, the reflections look almost painted onto the image, the eye is heavily photographed (See my own post ( Eye Dali ) so it is nice to see something original. Well done!

This photo is awesome. I find myself just clicking on it over and over just to stare. Great Job.

Really pretty!! But I think it might have helped to expose it less just a bit? It might help tone down the brightness of all these lights a bit?

Nicely done mike, I've been trying to get an original of the wheel for some time and still waiting for it.

Very nice image, the more I look at it the more I notice the over exposed lights on the left.
I wonder - did you shoot in raw or jpeg - maybe you can seletively burn it a bit?

Re: The River Thames at Night

Thanks for the comments guys .. actually it was shot in film and then scanned. As I said, I just balanced the camera on a bridge parapet and let the camera decide how much exposure to give it. I have toned down the colour a little - so I'm posting this version. The lights on the left are still a little bright, but not so much.

    Cheers

Nice image. I love it when an image looks electric and could jump off the page. Great job!

I love night shots! These are great. If you want a more balanced exposure, just go there a little earlier.
