The top picture (OMC) has no blacks or whites leaving me feel that it could be a lot better.
The pic of the flower/plant/whatever is well done. I especially like what is happening to the B/G. I would crop differently making it a vertical instead of horizontal. Reducing the brightness in the upper right may help also.

I agree with carbon terry on the BW. There's no centre of interest and the clouds just aren't strong enough to carry it. Contrast is too low. I do like your comp though with the land taking up the small portion at the bottom. What interest there is, is in the sky and you've emphasised that in your composition.
The flowery thing(new to me) is nice but I find the centering of the subject too static. Your background, on the other hand, is blurred very nicely. Try a 'rule-of-thirds' placement and I think you'll have a successful photograph.

Terry, thanks for the comments. The macro one actually is not cropped, so I have some room to work with in the cropping department. I'll try that out.

Jon, like I mentioned to Terry, the weed is actually a macro shot, so a rule of thirds would have been a little redundant in this case (pardon for the strong opinion). I was trying to get texture, not so much composition. Thanks for the input anyways. I was not very attached to the black and white one anyways, so a guillotine from some else is enough for me . Thanks for the comments.

I agree with Jon that a "Rule of Thirds" comp would work quite well.

Hmm.

Pic 1 - Try a red filter for a dramatic sky...if you have one. This one may actually have been more dramatic in color. Horizon off. Doesn't really draw me into the picture.

Pic 2 - The lighting looks a tad harsh, I hope that's just my issue. To me, though it does seem a little blown out. GREAT DOF.

My personal favorite is the version with the tighter crop. I really like the way the light hit's your subject. Nice job.

The tighter crop works much better. Nice fix on the exposure/saturation as well.

Yes Terry, you were right . Thanks for the input. I appreciate your experience very much.

Jon, I messed with the color and saturation as well as cropping it. Bama Fu actually pointed it out earlier. I added a touch of red to bring out the nice light. Thanks for the comments.

I like the shot of the flower, too bad the bottom right is so bright; I think the flower would stand out better if the lower portion was darker.

just my thought.
