    Canyonlands NP

Taken right at sunset with a Mamiya 645 with Kodak VS100 film. Not sure if this one's sharp enough to be a contender.

Any sharper I'd have retina scars. The shadows in the lower right foreground may be a bit deep other than that ok imo.
How tall is that thing GB ?

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Well the only issue I have is the out of focus weeds in the lower right and maybe work on a couple of the clouds that look a little blown out. I really like the colors and composition.. Nice work.

Pete - If I had to guess it was about 150-300 ft high but I could be off wildly. Too bad I didn't get the chance to do any real hiking (it was probably a no-no anyway, as there's a fence there in the bottom left, leading me to believe that they don't want you doing that). There was deer and cattle all over the place out there so I wonder what predators they have too?

Yeah maybe the sharpness isn't too bad. I always want more

Greg, those out of focus weeds are also my biggest nit. I should have used a deeper DOF (don't recall what it was in this one ... and film doesn't record it ). yep the clouds are only mildly interesting. Too bad there aren't deer around it eh?

I love the colors and varied textures. Sharp enough for sure, however I would consider cropping the weeds. Clouds could use a bit more contrast to make them stand out more. Very nice image.

I really like the colors and lighting - especially the shadows creeping up the side. I can't really tell about the overall sharpness, but the scaled down version seems pretty sharp here.

I think the only real nit is having some more context for it. As was mentioned before, it's hard to tell how big this is, although the assumption is it's pretty big.

guys, is this better? It's a digital shot. The wider angle seems to work better.
