    Cabbage tree

I have a bit of a soft spot for these, know to Kiwis as cabbage trees ( Cordyline Australis ) This one has just finished flowering and so is past its best.
The grass storks in the foreground are my main concern here, do they add or subtract from the image ?

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    nice image !

I like everything about it, composition, colors, the clouds with a hint of blue

perhaps I'll try to clone the grass overlapping the side of the cabin

Nice composition. The grass that intersects the cabin should be cloned, you're right.

    Re: Cabbage tree

One other suggestion you might want to look at, not sure myself, but personally I would look at it to see what it looked like - I would crop out the trees on the left, just to the right of that "yellow vertical thing" that is showing up in the picture as well as cloning out the grass on the cabin (I agree with the others on that one) together with the one that is sticking up just to the right of the cabin and the one or two that are sticking up in front of the tree itself.

I am not sure what editor you are using, but I would also want to see if I could add some detail or texture to the clouds, after all they are an important part of the picture.

    My 0.02 ¢ worth. HTH.

    Cheers,

    Re: Cabbage tree

Thanks guys, guess the grass has got to go. I think rather than mess around too much with this shot, I'll go back later in the year when the sun moves further north and reshoot. Also hope that in march /april the winds will stack spectacular evening lenticular clouds in the back ground.
