    Hi Joel,

It is a really sharp image and I like the colours you have achieved, also like the fact that the centre of the flower is slightly off centre of the end image. However, I find the orange in the background to be slightly distracting. Would be interesting to see what you could manage if you got up close to the centre of the flower itself and used the petals as the background....nice shot!

I assume you mean to fill up the frame with the flower and make the center the focal point and not show the full flower. Is that what you mean?

I like it. Very 3-dimensional... that color seems to jump out at you. Someone could use this at a debate where they're preaching that color is better than Black and White. Nice blur of the background, but might have been nice to see the entire flower sharp (some of the outer areas of the pedals are fading out). Very pretty

    Hi,

Yes, getting closer to the stamen and use the white lines on the petals to more effect. I think it would be interesting to try and get low and look up on the centre with the bright orange petals providing a background. Just an idea, it is a beautiful image as it is, the subject is great and I think you could probably look at it in more than one way.

    Happy shooting!

I will try that next time. I am interested in what the results will be.
