    Re: Blue

    Another flower?!?

There's a couple of things lacking here. Most importantly is focus. This image is not very sharp. You might want to try opening up to f8 - f11 so you can take advantage of the natural sweet spot in a lense.

The image is also a little flat. This may be due to lighting. Based on the drops, probably a cloudy day? Maybe use a bounce flash or if you really enjoy taking images of flowers, one of those light rings.

    Re: Blue

Flat, but it looks over-saturated too.
I've noticed my wife's panasonic FZ20 does this by default, I need to fiddle with her default settings

    Re: Blue

I agree with the above statements. The color being flat and the focusing greatly affects the photo, yet your composition is nice, and the subject matter is definately interesting.

Would love to see a reshoot,

    Jared

    Re: Blue

Since there is some interest, I will reshoot. This is not edited in any way. I usually have to add saturation, if any saturation problem exists. They are actually this very bright electric blue, just as shown here. The two problems that exist is that it is in a wooded area (low light), and that the position of the blooms are at an angle, height, and depth that I can't use my tripod. Thanks for the feedback, this is the hardest subject yet, as nealy 30 photos were taken, and this one was best. The preview screen really doesn't serve such a great purpose on digital cameras. Sure it helps to see composition, and extreme blurring, but for the fine details, you think you got it, and hen you see it large you're disappointed.
