Bit of an illusion

I would love to know what you think of this. I am new to this and I have just recently bought a Nikon D70s. This photo was taken on the Isle of Skye, it was a very dark and wet day.

Yes, it is a very nice illusion.
I like the way the fence by the steps doesn't meet the top and bottom, you've got some space
around it.
Yes, better light would probably make a better image, but this is good.
When you shoot it again, can you avoid that really light rectangle on the right, just at the bottom of the steps?

It looks like a fence but I'll bet it's stairs. I like the illusion. Very nice.
