    Beginner

Hi, I'm new here. I recently went on a road trip to the East Coast of Canada and took a lot of pictures there, some that I'd love to have feedback on. Here's a shot of the sky I took on the Atlantic Ocean while we were whale watching. I couldn't get the ocean into the picture however, so it's just the sky. I hope it's not too big .. I'm not sure how to make the image smaller, unfortunately.

Is this a good picture, or do I still have a long way to go?

A lot to learn and this is the place to do it! First i like this picture, just need to crop it a bit and concentrate the gaze on the sun beams.
Second to make the picture the correct size go to photo editor by first click on pic you want. Then right click and select "open with" then photo ed. click on immage, then resize.Click on units box and select pixels. Pic should be no bigger than 400 pixels.in width, the rest will adjust itself. Then go to file, save as and give your pic a new title and save. thats it.
Hope to see more from you, here is my version of your pic, hope you dont mind.Played around with various levels till i got this.

I can't add anything to what Bobby recommended on this shot mya. I like coastal towns and seashores and since I live well inland I don't get to see enough of them. Hope you post some more.

Thanks for your help, bobby! I also realized that the sunbeams were the best part of the pic, but I wasn't sure how to crop the image. I really like your version, actually ... I think it's a great improvement.

I also adjusted the pic a little bit, and also made it smaller, but unfortantely, when I uploaded it to the web, for some reason, it became even smaller. I saved it on bmp .. could that be a reason?

    Here's my edited version.

Here's another picture I took there that I really liked. Is it any good?
