    Hi Emily,
Nice flowers. I wish the bee was larger in the first shot which would have a good shape contrast with the flower detail.

    Re: In the sun

Nice job! One the first one, there is a bit of white stuff just off center that I feel should be removed. These are nice flowers but do to the heavy center mass, perhaps shooting them at a different angle might make them a bit more appealing. I would love to see the bee more, maybe on the yellow flower part. You need to follow the TV commercial and "learn to speak Bee" Tell it to move to the right.
    Again, Good job!

Ooooo! fibanacci in all its glory.

Nicley done, all my comments have already been covered except in the bottom photo I find the big leaf competing with the flower because of the glare coming off it.

    Thanks for the comments all!
Yoyo...if the bee had been bigger, you can bet I wouldn't have gotten near enough for detail...hehe. I know what you mean though.
DJM, I'll make sure I utilize my bee-speaking skills on my next shot...
Roger, you're right about the glare in the 2nd photo...

    Re: In the sun

Sunflowers are hard to shoot, IMO. Tried them immediately after getting started, and the size and transparency of the petals, combined with the thickness of the center part makes it difficult. You have done pretty good here though. My only suggestion would be to burn in the leaves, etc in the BG to make the flower pop more and remove the slightly overblown areas. Hope you don't mind, but i did a real quick sample, just to give an idea. Just my opinion though, you may not like it.
