I came to see if I could get an ID on this bird I saw yesterday and it looks like I already have an answer based on others' photos.

It was very shy and I couldn't get any closer with the available time (family waiting in the car).

Been seeing these guys all over lately. Larger than a Spotted Sandpiper, but smaller than a Killdeer.
This guy looked a lot like the other, but taller and more lanky. Larger than a Killdeer.
I'm shooting sandpipers running around on a mud flat of a drained lake bed (drained for shoreline reconstruction) and see this guy. Northern Mockingbird? I've never seen one before.
