    if in the US, it's a snowy egret, if in the UK, it's a little egret ;-) both have the same colors.

    Long time no see all--

    Been seeing these guys all over lately. Larger than a Spotted Sandpiper, but smaller than a Killdeer.



    This guy looked a lot like the other, but taller and more lanky. Larger than a Killdeer.


    I'm shooting sandpipers running around on a mud flat of a drained lake bed (drained for shoreline reconstruction) and see this guy. Northern Mockingbird? I've never seen one before.

    When I originally took this image back in 2010, I labeled it as a woodcock. After looking at it again, I now believe it's a Wilson's Snipe.
