the eye ring being off is a good indecation it may not be a femal blackcap, but everything else seems right. maybe try to find a local bird ID forum , because I am stumped :mad2:Originally Posted by SmartWombat

And in the female it's brown, not black.
It's only the colour of the ring around the eye - black not white - that stops me being certain.
