    Dunno on the blue birds.

    As for the meadowlard - yes. Most likely the western variety based on your location - although I can't tell the difference.

    It's the 2nd day of spring so I've moved your post to a new thread.

    First day of spring and we got dumped on with snow here :) Second day was a bit cold but at least the snow wasn't falling.

    I'm pretty sure about these, but wanted conformation. Excuse the crappy shot, if I got them in focus I blew the exposure, got the exposure I blew the focus. Oh, and I have several shots where I did both :p

    Buffleheads?

    This guy landed among a bunch of Red-Breasted Mergansers. I thought at first he was just another male Red-Breasted, but then got a slightly better look. Male Common Merganser?

    Here are pictures of a couple of red birds

    Other than they are red & black I don't know how these are called, one thing to note is that
    I never seen them before , but before having a DSLR I was not really paying attention
