    Mississippi River Bald Eagle Photography 2010-2011!

    HI Folks...

    It's that time of year again for one of the Great Migrations... the bald eagles from the North
    migrate to the south along the Mississippi River for the the winter.

    I have made one trip to Iowa so far, headed there again tonight, then at least two more trips planned before March 1.

    I wanted to share the slideshow I have put together so far... it is about 6 images shy of being complete.

    Lots of great shots Mark. Where about in Iowa are you going? I'm about 45 minutes from Dubuque but I'm guessing you are further south than that. My January weekends are filling up, but I may just have to make some time for a road trip.

    Mike: these images are from lock and dam 14. I just arrived here tonight again. I plan to shoot Monday (tomorrow) and Tues morning. If you are in the area, stop and say hi!

    Looks like that is just over 100 miles from here. This weekend is out but I may have time to make a trip after the first of the year.
