Iowa /Mississippi River Bald Eagles 2010

    Hello Folks...

I was invited to join by Hideta. Thank Hideta!

This winter I have made two trips to Iowa for the wintering bald eagles along the Mississippi River. I am returning for a 3rd trip this weekend and taking along 16 members of my photography group I own.

I would like to share the images I have to date.

Click here: http://galloimages.zenfolio.com/ and a slideshow will start up automatically with my eagle images. I will be posting more from this upcoming trip so check back. I always put the newest images in the beginning of the slide show.

Also, check out my blog: http://marksmusings555.blogspot.com/ I blogged during my previous two trips and plan to blog for this trip as well.

    Enjoy and thanks for looking!

    Mark

The 7D is terrific.. the new AF systems just works! The 18MP allows for a nice crop with no loss in IQ.... and the 500 f4 is a great lens. One of Canon's sharpest lenses.

300mm is short for wildlife... if you shoot Canon, I would consider the 100-400mm L. I have it too and it is pretty darn sharp too in my experience!

Be sure and check my blog as I will be blogging during the third and final eagle trip in 2010.

    You lucky stiff.
All that is too rich for my blood. I could barely afford my Xsi and 70-300mm. Plus, I lost my job so I won't be buying anything for a long time. Someday, I'd like to just rent an outfit like yours to see what I could get! I'm good at catching the action and have a good eye, so maybe I'll start playing the lottery when I find another job. lol
I will definitely check out your blog. I am an Eagle freak.

    Thanks for posting, Mark.
