    Eye to eye

    It was overcast and rainy today when I took my dad out for a ride. He is 90 years old and can't see very good but when I saw the gator in a pond next to the road we got out to take a look . It saw us and came swimming straight to us within about 6ft and my dad managed to get a good look at him. None of these photos have been cropped, Jeff

    These are superb - cant believe the proximity of these guys to where you live!!! Have friends in US who have them on their LAWN sometimes???

    Uh! Jeff, I think your are too close for comfort there. Glad you were using the 70-300 and not the 50. How close was that thing?

    It was about 7ft.away. The first set of pictures were taken at 70mm, 250mm, and 300mm, Jeff
