Eye to eye
It was overcast and rainy today when I took my dad out for a ride. He is 90 years old and can't see very good but when I saw the gator in a pond next to the road we got out to take a look . It saw us and came swimming straight to us within about 6ft and my dad managed to get a good look at him. None of these photos have been cropped, Jeff

Wow - give me a good ole Oklahoma rattler anyday. Great shots! And good for you for taking Dad out...

Re: Eye to eye
What a catch. I hope this wasn't to close to your house?

Re: Eye to eye
That must have been a thrilling experience.
The rain drop ripples really adds to #1.

These are superb - cant believe the proximity of these guys to where you live!!! Have friends in US who have them on their LAWN sometimes???

Re: Eye to eye
Uh! Jeff, I think your are too close for comfort there. Glad you were using the 70-300 and not the 50. How close was that thing?

It was about 7ft.away. The first set of pictures were taken at 70mm, 250mm, and 300mm, Jeff
Below is a different gator that I took today and is not the one posted earlier.
