    Photoshop Automation with Copyrighting

    Hi.
I have a question regarding photoshop and "signing" photos. I know how to sign photos in the "file info" part of the photo individually, but does anyone have any info on how to make a script to "batch-sign/copyright" photos? It is not under the list of options for batch processing. Any info would help. I need to sign over 1000 photos, so having some sort of automation here would be very nice. Thanks,

I don't know about PS, but batch processing/cataloging software, such as BreezeBrowser, does this type of thing.

Best thing to do is write and action script and apply it to a batch through the browser in PS CS.
    Only CS has this ability.
Start with making the action script. Take a typical image and record evry move you make to put your signature on it and save it.
Action scripts are pretty easy. The help tutorials that come with PS will guide you through it.
Batch copyright in CS is done with the file browser. Go to Edit --> append metadata(you will have to first edit the metadata to be appended). Before you do this selct all the images you want appende and it is automated to all of them.
I don't believe any of these options are available in previous versions but i could be wrong.

Here are two good articles on Will Crockett's site, shootsmarter.com. I think you'll have to sign up with your email address to see these, but it's free:

Making your own Custom Logo Brush

Create a Photoshop action for your Custom Logo Brush

Looks pretty cool but it's one of those things I haven't gotten around to trying myself yet...

Thanks for the info, all. I'll try out that custom brush idea, it sounds good.

    Re: Photoshop Automation with Copyrighting

Another question along the same lines...

Is there any way to quickly rename files, possibly without looking at them, according to some attributes of the image? For instance, I had to open and look at each of the 800+ photos that I shot to rename each file. Is there any sort of a program to make it all fast and keyboard driven? Maybe, a script that opens the file and the save as box, and as soon as you save it, the script opens the next picture and save as box? Some automation like this would be great. Thanks

actions in PS would do this too. it's very easy. Make an action that automatically opens the photo and then does a save as, but when the save as box opens it waits for you to put the name in and hit save. Once Save has been pressed, the action starts over again.

Please read the instructions for making an action for details. I've just given an overview.
