Recently I have gotten interested in the field of photograph, and I was looking into purchasing a telephono lens, calbe realase, and a handeld flash attachment?

What makes a good telephono lens? Cable release? Handheld flash attachment?
How much are each worth?

Are they worth it?
What other items do you suggest?

How telephoto are you thinking?
My idea of telephoto is anything 80mm and above. That could mean that it could range up to 800mm for the bird lovers.
Telephoto lenses are typically really slow, but if you want the faster ones, you will have to pay a premium.

Get a diffuser while you are at it. Those things are great. (some are really expensive though)

Shutter, there are a lot of answers to your questions. We could give you the most help if you told us a few things about yourself:

1) What subjects you'll use this equipment with
2) What problems you're having with the equipment you have (or don't have?) ;)
3) What brand/model of camera system you have
4) What your budget is

Without knowing any of this, it's just a guess!
