Minolta X370 manual shutter advance problem.

I have a Minolta X370 and recently the manual flip shutter advance will not take advance the film when I put a new roll in. With no film I would have to advance the film then let it spring back for me to relase the shutter click. Now, with the film in it won't even do that.

The electronics seem to be OK with all the various shutter speeds lighting up accordingly.

Is this a common problem or is my X370 cooked..?
