    Whats The BEST PC Windows Editing application?

    i really dont know.... im a self confessed windows/pc hater, i use final cut pro 4.5 hd for mac (best editing app on the planet)
    but i have to buy a "no expense spared" gift and it needs to be video editing for my bro in-law....

    im guessing its something adobe have got out??

    any ideas guys

    If its no expense spared...

    I teach my students how to edit on the Avid Xpress Pro platform. You can find them at Avid.com. The more expensive flavors of the program are responsible for about 70% of the current American cinema and television programming.

    I'd take a look at what Pinnacle Systems has to offer. I do home video editing and their low end packages are probably the best I've worked with. The user interface is second to none. I know they have several packages available, including higher end video editing software. Thier Liquid Edition looks promising.

    high yeah thanks that is what is being replaced...im looking for more of an industry standard (like final cut pro but for pc)
