    Buyer Help?!?!

I'm in the market for a digital camera and probably narrowed my search down to the following:

    1) Canon T2i
    2) Sony NEX-5

I like the Canon T2i because of the brand and quality, not to mention great reviews that I've read so far. Its roughly under $1k and lots of available lenses. I also like the sony NEX-5 because of the size, much more affordable, utilization of autofocus. Basically I'd like to get a camera that will give me more bang for my buck. A DSLR that I'll be able to keep for several years and won't have problems trying to find lenses/accessories for down the road. This will be my first DSLR. I'm going to be getting married this year and starting a family so upgrading from this purchase won't be for several years.

Any advice/suggestions is very appreciated. Thanks.

Just to add....what I'm wanting is a camera that won't need much adjustments from me when taking normal shots. Something that can record HD video. Something that will give me years of picture taking and won't have to upgrade lenses to often. Maybe a camera that shoots flawless out of the box.

These are very, very different cameras. The Canon is an entry level traditional DSLR with all the traditional tools of photography (plus primitive video). The NEX is a very small, whole new concept that breaks the rules - more like a high image quality, interchangeable lens Point & Shoot. To have narrowed your choice to these two says (to me anyway) that you haven't really decide what you want in a camera. - Terry
