    Lightbulb D70 Black & White

Is there a setting on my D70 so I can make it black and white or do I have to take the picture in color and then use a photo editor to change to b&w ?

I am open to other ideas also.

    Thanks

Usually shootin in color and doing the conversion yourself can result in better images. Don't just use the B&W menu choice though. Here's an excellent method.

Thanks, Yeah that will work for me. I guess that I just wanted someone elese to ask to see if that was the best way. I also followed the link and will try that.

And to answer your question.... There is no option to have the D70 do B&W. But, I wouldn't want it to. As chunk points out, there are much better ways to get dramatic B&W in PP than pure grey-scale conversion...

    Re: D70 Black & White

I have a B&W mode on my Fuji S2 but have never used it. It's quick to do a conversion in Photoshop and there's a lot more control.

This program looks interesting too (plug-in for Photoshop), but I've never tried it. Pretty inexpensive and looks like a time-saver.
