    Konica Minolta DiMage Z2

I need a camera with a decent zoom, and that takes excellent scenery photos. Something that I can learn how to focus manually as well.

Does this camera take good scenery photos? How about of buildings and a lot of people?

    Camera Doesn't Take the Picture

    Ogden-
The camera doesn't take the picture, it only supplies you with a set of tools that allows you to capture an image. So, as long as a camera has the basic tools, you should be able to take good landscapes, building, and people photos with it. It won't take good pictures for you, though. Composing and taking the pictures is your job.

That said, I think the Z2 will probably serve you well. The combination of a 4 megapixel sensor, with a 10x zoom lens is pretty sweet. If you think you're going to be using the long end of the zoom a lot, you should also take a look at the Z3. It's got a 12x optical zoom plus Konica Minolta's Anti Shake technology. The Anti Shake feature really works and well help ensure you get sharp photos in low light and at long zoom ratios.

I realize that the Z2 and Z3 aren't currently listed in the reviews here. I'm giong to take care of that right now. Hopefully we can drum up some reviews so you can learn more about those cameras from people who actually use them.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you for the reply. The Z3 looks more like what I'd need, the anti-shake is a good feature to have.
