Fujifilm s304 problem

i dont know what is wrong with my camera when i take a shot and check it on the camera everything seems to be covered by white lines same thing as when they are downloaded on the system. but the same doesn't happen when it comes to the video recording the video file plays fine. Pls can i know what is wrong and how to rectify it .
