    Can these prices be right?

Ok, I've been watching prices on the Maxxum 7D for awhile. Over the last week I've watched the price at a few stores drop to below $900!

Here's the link I've been watching. Anyone heard of these stores?? Should I buy from them??

    Thanks!

Gotta be some catch. If it is too good to be true, it usually is. This same site is selling the 1D mk II for $2000! I wouldn't be surprised if the camera body is all you get, no battery, charger, cables, etc. You'll probably be required to talk to a salesperson as "confirmation" of the sale. They'll probably tell you that you must buy the 3 year Mack warranty (which adds $600 to the package for the maxxum 7D, and $1000 for the 1D). Notice that they recommend as accessories all the things that normally are part of the camera package. By the time you add all those "recommended accessories", surprise, surprise, you end up paying what you would have paid at B&H, without all the hassles of a salesperson.
Here's the general policy directly from their website on purchases.

"What is your General Ordering Policy?
For your security, all orders are go through a thorough verification procedure before they are shipped and must receive final approval by our customer service department. If the Shipping address on your order is different from your billing address (which must match the address to which your monthly credit card statement is sent), please use the toll-free number on the back of your credit card to contact your credit card company and create a "Secondary Shipping Address", which is simply a note on your account authorizing purchases that are delivered to a destination other than your billing address. Failure to do so may considerably delay the processing of your order. A&M Photo World carries US & Non-US products. Non US products may be considerably less expensive. The product packaging may or may not include all software, accessories, and features intended for US customers. Please allow three to four weeks for delivery on some international products. USA warranty may be additional. Images and specifications are for illustrative purposes only. A&M Photo World will not sell products to resellers under any circumstance. We also reserve the right to limit any product to one per customer. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice. All prices are after the manufacturers' rebates. All rebates are handled with the manufacturer and A&M Photo World shall not be held responsible if the manufacturer will not honor the rebate. We are not responsible for typographical errors on the website. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. If you were already charged we will issue you a full reimbursement. Receipt of an order does not necessarily constitute a final transaction. We may contact you regarding adjustments to your order, including but not limited to tax and shipping which you will be informed of prior to billing. The charges at checkout may not be final. You will receive your final statement (receipt) with the arrival of your package."

Beware of these deals. The common practice is to sell the camera without any of the manufacturer's included accessories like a battery, strap, manual, and the like. Or, the cameras might be imports or gray market, which generally are not warranteed by the manufacturer, or they may be refurbs. Always check www.resellerratings.com...They give AM Photoworld a 0.83/10 rating...
