Blurry pics after editing, help a newb out.

    Hi,
I have a cannon A75 3.2mp digi-camera and an ibook with iphoto. When I crop pics I notice that the picture quality is degraded. It looks to me kinda fuzzy or blurry. I am wondering if it is normal and will it show up in prints? I read somewhere that a 3.2mp camera will take shots that can print up to 8x10 and still look good. One thing that I am thinking is, perhaps when I crop a photo iphoto automatically re-sizes the image to fit the screen, maybe thats why the pic looks fuzzy? my screen is only 12inches and I can rarely see an entire pic without having to scroll. In case it matters, I have 756mb ram, 1.2ghz g4 and I am using the latest iphoto. Any suggestions?

How much are you cropping the images? With 3.2 you can't really go that far with the cropping. Anytime you crop you are throwing out some of the image info, and therefore a bit of the quality aswell. How much depends on how far you crop and what program you use. If you are even just kinda serious about photography I would look into Photoshop, or even photoshop elements. As far as printing 8x10's, you really are going to need the entire, uncropped image to print that size.
