Anyone know where I can find a Refurbished Olympus C-7070?

I allowed my sister to borrow my current camera (an Olympus C-5000) for a wedding. As it turned out, she loved it so much, I offered to sell it to her. Problem is, she wanted it immediately, and the two sites I saw last week that had Refurbished C-7070s were no longer listed. So, I am currently without a camera, and I kind of work for a web site for which taking pictures is sometimes necessary. I can't afford a C-7070 new, but I am certain it is the camera I want. The other 3 digital I have owned in my life have been bought refurbished, so I know what I am getting, and Olympus is the only company I have any desire to own.

Basically, my question is, does anyone know what online retailers carry the C-7070 Refurbished? I would like to contact them and find out how often they restock. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Refurb's are not always in stock. You might try emailing the vendor who previously had them and have them email you when one is available. I believe Olympus has an actual refurb channel of their own, certainly authorized one if not in house. Also check ebay. Good luck.

There were two sites I saw on PCWorld's Pricegrabber last week that had them, but I don't remember either site. I wasn't expecting them to be sold out 3 days later, pretty naive of me. They were selling them for $259.99. There's a seller on ebay who has been selling "factory reconditioned" C-7070s, which I think is basically a fancier way of saying refurbished, but that sell has been getting $350 or more for them, and I could buy a new one for $345, if I could afford a new one. I was hoping maybe someone had bought a refurbished C-7070, and could tell me what vedor they went through, so I could contect them.

Olympus sells their refurb's on ebay. They make it pretty obvious that you're dealing directly with them and they do have a warranty.

I believe that is the seller I was referring to. The seller is "OlympusAuctions," that is probably the official one. Those refurbs have been going for $350 and above. Yes, they have a 90 day warranty, but I think any refurb does. According to PriceGrabber, I could get one new, with a 1 year warranty, for $345, but again, I can't afford that much. I saw 2 sites on PriceGrabber last week selling the C-7070 refurbed for $260, and I can afford that. I am simply trying to find out if anyone knows what sites sell it refurbed, so that I may contact them, and find out when they might get more.
