The following is an e-mail I wrote to the trailer, but, and I was expecting this, it appears that their mail box is full, likely due to neglect.

Hi,
I am writing this email because I am rather
disappointed with the level of service offered by
Galaxy camera and because I want Galaxy to do well in
the future as a local photo retailer.
I have been shopping around for a digital camera for a
number of months and finally settled on the Canon A75.
Looking over web sites I noticed that Galaxy offered a
very competitive price of 369.99. This was 20 dollars
less than anywhere else, and as a starving student
this means a lot to me. So, I finally decided to go
for my first digital camera purchase. I was happy to
be shopping at a locally based store.
My first disappointment came when I called to confirm
availability and price. It turned out that the 369.99
advertised on the website was in fact 379.99 at the
store. Regardless I decided to come in and make the
purchase.
At the store I talked to a rather condescending sales
associate who, instead of answering my question with
regard to the discrepancy between website and store
prices, decided to offer me a 100 dollar accessories
package, which I did not ask for. In fact we were not
discussing accessories at all and I had just finished
saying hello and asking about prices.
Once again I decided to forgive and move on with the
purchase.
At the counter I was given a new unpleasant surprise.
When inquiring about warrantees and money back
guarantees I was advised by a pointing finger to
consult the sign on the counter. "No", it says, we
cannot guarantee our product once it leaves the store
because of some unheard of reason. This was absurd I
thought. I buy this camera today and tonight it
decides to explode on me, what do I do? I send my
newly purchased camera to Canon and have just spent
400 dollars on thin air and a 2 months turn around
time from the repair shop.
This was too much! So, I went down to Staples and
bought the same camera for 5 dollars less and with a
30 day satisfaction guarantee. The service, believe it
or not, was faster and the staff were friendlier. I
was not pitched any products but offered the option of
inquiring about them. It was a good experience that
before today I would have expected from Galaxy not
from some mega store like Staples.
I hope you can learn something from my experience and
put it to good use at your store. I look forward to
shopping at Galaxy in the future when customer service
is improved.
Thank you,
Mark
