I am back to being an Adorama fan.
I purchased a refurbished camera body from Adorama this summer. I had it shipped to work and because of an extended contract I was unable to even look at the body until the 30-day return policy had expired.
The new body produced an Err99. No matter what I did the body would produce an Err99, different lenses, cleaned contacts, etc. still Err99. The mirror appeared to be stuck; it would not lift to take a photo. When I pressed the shutter, the lens would stop down, I could see it stop down through the viewfinder, I shouldn’t be able to see this. Then ERR99. I tried cleaning mode; still the mirror wouldn’t lift.
I contacted Helen Oster directly and explained my situation to her. She contacted someone in the return department and they agreed to take the return. I am extremely happy with this service. I will now go to Adorama’s site first, and I won’t hesitate to purchase from them in the future. They’ve definitely upped their customer service, putting us first.
