View Full Version : Gallery edit - lens and film madness

When I post an image to the galleries; I choose the KonicaMinolta DiMage A2, and no lens or film.

But when I go to edit one of my images, the screen changes to a random camera (I've had Nikon and Kodak so far) and random lens, and random film.

The opportunity to choose NONE is not present.
Nor are digital films, like Lexar 1GB 40x WA :)

I would at least like the opportunity to clear the erroneous Film and Lens entries.
It's a pain in the acronym, but I can at least reset the camera to A2 each time, though it is a PITA - when all I wanted to do was correct a typo !!

Same thing happened to me too Paul. My photo wasn't worth leaving up, so I deleted it. I listed the camera as a Canon PowerShot S60, and lens and film information showed up that I didn't post. I had selected only the Camera information. I found there wasn't "none" in the dropdown.

I will let John know.

Thanks!

Could it be that this is happening to all of us but we've only just noticed. Agree entirely with Wombat - we are not afforded the opportunity of even substituting "none" for all these fictitious cameras and peripherals. It's a strange sensation to learn that you've taken pictures with cameras you've never heard of - though it must be noted that Canon and Nikon are never far away.
I wonder why ! ! !

I wondered how I got Tri-X into the Minolta A2 digital :D

Paul and Glenn, I asked our engineers to look into this. Mike made a fix.

He believes when a photo was edited, the default didn't hold the camera information we initially selected. It should be fixed now, so that when a photo's information is edited, the (default) information of your camera will not change.. Please let me know if you see this happen again.

Thanks,
Lara
