I use my own and am about to change this one......don't like it for wallpaper as I prefer something that fills the screen without tiling.

    Re: Your Desktop Photo... Why?

This one right now on my laptop, but I'm tired of it. Why? Something different for me. I don't get to do landscape shots often and I find it enjoyable.

On my desktop. Why? I'm hopelessly addicted to macro photography of florals. This one just has the colors and look I like.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Usually the Leopard default. But occasionally something by one favorite photographer or another for inspiration.

I usually use my own, as is the case with my 2 computers at the moment.

    Laptop

I choose them because they are simple and go well with my XP color scheme.

I like our wall paper because I like Hairy Oaks.

My screen is my white board. Everthing goes on it ... and for some reason this Hairy Oak image fits well and doesn't hide the shortcuts.

I've had the image on the monitor for nearly 2 years now ... and see no need to change it.

    Warren.

PS, If you are wondering why there are so many Sims folders and shortcuts on the screen ... I'll have to refer you to my resident Sims expert. She will be home from school shortly.

Mainly due to this thread, I have decided to change my desktop. So, at the moment it is this abstract which I made. Very garish

Well this is what I have on mine. Devil's Tower is one of my two favorite places on earth. Caught this with my Sony P&S on a day I got rained out from climbing. After that shot, the day didn't seems like a waste at all.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Hi everyone, I use my own images most of the time. This is a photo I took of my son Danny last Summer with my Iphone.

Up since Christmas - usually changes with the season, or the latest inspiration.

Here's mine- I always use my own photos. I also use mostly my own photos for the slide show screen saver, a few are of me, so those are the ones taken by someone else.

I dunno, I've been using this one for over a year now, I just like it.

And I have got to say, some of you are either running real low resolutions on your monitors, or just have some wicked big icons... is that a vista thing?

    Re: Your Desktop Photo... Why?

Mine change pretty often but this is it, at the moment. I took this shot on the second morning of a backpacking trip in the Wind River range in Wyoming, back in '03. I just got around to scanning it the other day. This is one of those "happy accidents" that eventually pushed me to really start learning about photography. It rained constantly for the first day and half, so this clear morning was a welcome sight. I rolled out of the tent, grabbed my camera, and went walking around the lake while my friend went down to the shore to pump some water to cook breakfast with. You can see him crouching near the middle of the shot. Good times.

The abstract is my current wallpaper, a shot I took back in the fall.

The Blue Angels was my former, which I had up because I can only dream to get in the position to take a shot like that, it's just an awesome perspective. It is a US Navy file photo, which has been released into the public domain.
Loved the Blue Angels one. I was JUST talking with some coworkers of mine about their incentive flights in the F16, one was a Thunderbird maintainer. We were discussing how long I'd be able to keep down my lunch because I wouldn't pass up that opportunity if it came up! Awesome perspective indeed...

    Great desktops guys!

Like I said at the begining I don't usually use other people's images, so I have changed mine back to one that I use every so often. It is a baby duck I shot last year after getting my 100-400L IS.
