    Yesterday in Park City

Trying to squeeze every little bit of riding out of what's left of the season, I rode 6 days this past week. Yesterday my friend Russ and I went up to Park City. It was raining down in Salt Lake City, at 4500 feet. So we didn't know what to expect up at 7000 feet. It was 41 degrees and raining when we got there, and we could see snow up higher. The climb was gooey at the beginning, but as we neared the top the rain let up and we even saw a little blue sky. It was one of those days where it would have been so easy to stay home. But I am so pleased I went. Conditions were great for photos and riding and with the rain and a bit of snow on the ground, and a couple of moose on the trail, it was an adventure.

Maybe I should have posted this on our mountain bike site?

Nice shots John, t looks like a lot of fun, except for the hard work, cold and sn ow part. My son and I enjoyed the winter olympics in the Salt Lake area for the few days we were there, but we'll take the warm of Florida any day.

Hair accessory? I don't get it.

We did have fun. It was a great day. It would have been a terrible rotten shame not to have gone.

those rides when you have to talk yourself into riding are usually the best rides in my book, glad you went. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

    Hey John,
Nice shots. I agree with James, the second one stands out from the other two by a huge margin. Although the first one needs to be posted in the self-portrait thread!

I don't know what I'm more jealous of, the locations where you ride or the fact that you have enough time to take photos while riding.

The second one rules, but the first one is great in a different way.

Love the second. The first is great too.

I'm going to vote for "jealous you have the time to take photos while you ride." Although tomorrow I'm taking the entire day and going back to the cat rescue, sans huge crowd, to take photos...

I have to take pictures when I ride. It's what I do. It's half the reason I ride. Especially when I have conditions like you see in these photos. Taking pictures is how I live.
