    Woe is me

During and innocent trip to my parents, I was attacked by mutant mosquitos, and am covered in bumps. I am like the sunblock/bug spray Natzi when it comes to the girls, and somehow always manage to forget to do myself. I even have this really nice lemongrass bugspray, deet free, smells like lemondrop candies. And even if the girls get one, I am all "oh don't scratch, I know it itches" and we put some cortizone on them. Here I am, ready to rip the flesh off my body it itches that badly. And I have one right on the front of my neck too. It is actually painful, how much they itch.

Worst part? I don't even remember getting them. I got home Wednesday night and was so itchy, and had the bumps. Oh wait, that's not the worst part. The worst part is I am so pasty white these things look like huge red welts all over me.

And to top it all off, we are out of ice cream.

Almost forgot. On a more positive note, my camera is not broken. The last couple times I shot, everything came out underexposed by quite a bit. So I decided to check the manual, and what do you know, not broken. I had hit something while I was shooting, took two seconds to fix.

    alive and well(ted)

I feel your pain rather my pain...just returned froma beach vacation in Green Harbor-- MA
and fared quite well till I ran out of "deet" (I had purchased 40 percent and 100 percent at a camping supply place because the mosquitos and flies were so bad on the beach and by the marsh) but I have quarter size welts in a few locations and smaller painful itchy ones in many other places.
nine on the left leg, four on the right and five on my back and one that shall remain unexplained because I still don't get how it got there...(itching)

thnaks for checking on me...I'll email ya a much longer reason...all is well just trying to balance life and make some decisions in my life that aren't easy. mainly having to do with life goals and church life. sorry (itching) that you feel so gross (itching) and that you have no ice cream.

Hang in there...ice and alcohol swabs help...

There is a product on the market here, called Stingoze that works very very well and within a few seconds. My girls, like me, hate mosquitoes and are allergic to their bites, get large welts and we use Aerogard religously as well.

Alcohol does help as long as it isn't taken internally, otherwise you start developing other problems ;) with your health and you want more and more.

Glad to see you are OK.

I work for a skin care company and we have something that relieves itching from bug bites. It's called derma e Itch Relief Lotion w/Tea Tree and E. Tea Tree is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, not to mention that it is a natural solvent. The Chamomile helps to soothe and calm the skin. I use it after mowing our grass (actually, they're weeds disguising as grass!) because I get a terrible rash on my chest from all the dirt, dust, pollen and grass attaching itself to my chest as it perspires (yeah, it's work!). This stuff gives me relief in just minutes. You should be able to find this product in a local health food store.

Boy, I feel like I'm at work right now pitching our products!!

How about a photo? Just kidding, glad it's not worse and glad your camera is working as normal. Remember, don't scratch!

Okay, maybe the neck. But most of mine are "unexplainable" as Nat put it.

I'm convinced they crawled into my clothes and then bit, rather than just biting the skin that was showing.

Welcome back Nat. I hope that for someone with talent like yours the life goals include a big lump of photography.
    Now ...back to your scratching.

    I tried

to get a pic, but as I am not a contortionist, I was having no luck. Although I saw my gramma yesterday, and she diagosed them as spider bites, not mosquitos, which really just creeps me out.

WHICH is what I was going to SUGGEST.

SPIDERLINGS are EVERYWHERE right now. they may not be "SPIDER BITES" but I doubt that after even 12 hours a SKEETER BITE would be raised or ITCHING
