    Why I Love The Fair

Today the wife and I went to the fair. I answered the siren call of the food trailers.

I'm here to tell you, it tasted every bit as good as it looked.
I washed it down with fries and a sloppy joe.

    I LOVE the fair!

That's what we call them here. My wife makes me take her to the fair every year for one. I like them too so we usually split one. I also like to go and look at the photography exhibits. I may just enter something this year.

You know what they say about the midwest, you fry it and we'll try it!

I missed the Wisconsin State Fair (actually much closer to me than the IL fair) yet again this year. They have cream puffs that are about the size of a cantaloupe. What else could you have for dessert after eating corn dogs and all that other stuff? Well, I mean other than an angioplasty, but where's the fun in that?

    Yes we do Jimmy!

Our other delicious treats are scones, fried onion burgers and a brown bag full of greasy salty fries.

Well I guess I'm kind of in the south but we have both here. I would have called this an elephant ear also. The funnel cakes we have are usually a little lighter with powdered sugar and more waffle like in appearance. But what ever you call them they are some good eating.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
