    Where in the world...

Saw some others do this, so I thought I'd give it a try. Here are a couple of pictures I took yesterday on vacation. Know where? Hint: I cannot afford to leave the country. I'll be back with more (I hope) tomorrow. (I apologize for the bleached out sky, but it was getting to be dusk, and the foreground was quite shady.)

    Okay,

My guess is America (I have got to be close:lol

Being a Brit it could be Brighton, Bournmouth, or Torquay in the UK.

I don't remember seeing palm trees in Brighton...

I really have no idea other than I'm going to guess that you're driving so it's probably not too far from OK (hundreds, not thousands of miles). Just to throw something out there, Corpus Christi TX?

When were you last there? They were there 4 years ago when I was doing some work down there.

I like this logic, so I'm guessing Galveston.

    Re: Where in the world...

I am guessing somewhere in florida due to the fact that the sign on the rear building in the first photo says "old florida"

I guess it's been 15... I love to be by water, and having a reference to a song by The Who is a bonus (Pinball Wizard, "From Soho down to Brighton, I must have played them all... I suppose things can change a lot in 15 years!

Galveston was another thought - looked a bit like the area when I was there a few years ago but I'm not sure how it is now, unfortunately. However maybe Florida is a good choice...

    Didn't even think of that...

When I saw "Florida", I wondered if this was the place. Second place is just the first loser, I guess!
