    Whatcha working on?

so summers wrapping up (for most of us), schools back in.

    Anyone working on anything interesting?

i've got a few more weeks of catchup work-wise, from a busy summer, but am hoping to start shooting some personal stuff by the end of the month...

so not much interesting, but glad to be working.

    Re: Whatcha working on?

I haven't done a whole lot of photography for myself all summer. That is going to change soon though.

I have been busy this summer matting and framing photos as well as shipping a few orders out to customers.

This week is going to be a busy getting ready for a 2 day art festival I will be showing/selling my photography at this weekend.

After that I have another smaller art/craft fair to get ready for on the 30th..

Then I leave on the 2nd for a solo photo trip to the Tetons. One more smaller show a few days after I get back from my trip. After that I shouldn't have a whole lot going on until the Spring.

I have a solo exhibition of my work at the Capital in Madison in May and another one at a bank in July.

    Back to school

I'm updating my computer skills, working on Windows 2008 Server certification and VMWARE. This is going to take months.

It's a rich time for events around the city so every weekend I'm at several events, and I take the odd snap now and then. At the start of October the photography association gets started again with some new models. I think I'll sign up for a couple of shoots. November is Paris-Photo - one hundred shows to see (I don't manage even a tenth of them)

I'm trying to get my yard work done,(some stuff is years behind) and then I'm going fishing.
Amazing run of pink salmon in PNW rivers this year and I haven't been fishing for some time.
Hope you didn't mean just photo work.
    Keep Shooting!

    Re: Whatcha working on?

Well, I've slowed down on the Wall St. economic series since I don't work down there anymore. Sure wish I was down there today for Obama's speech and the anniversary of the day my job life changed! Those were some scary times, and they are still a little scary. Anyway, that series is here.

I've started a new series. I'm uninsured, so the health insurance controversy really hits home. This series doesn't pretend to answer any questions - it was born out of frustration of the perception of uninsured people in America. I started photographing my friends who are uninsured or underinsured and taking their stories to give them (us) a voice... and show people across the political spectrum that no matter what you believe politically, it's a growing problem affecting many people regardless economic, class, professional, etc etc. status.

I have been trying to get back into shape. I rode my bike 21 miles Sunday. Mostly paved bike trails but it's a start. Taking pictures on my rides. I would like to try some mountain biking at some point.

When the racing season ends, I've got an engine to rebuild to get the roadster back on the road.
I missed the Spa Francorchamps drive this year and want to get back on track next year !
