Hi all - my first post on here. And I'm here to find some help in taking digital photos of drawings on white paper. All my efforts only produce drawings on a grey background when it should be white. Help!

Welcome! Whites turning gray means that you need more exposure. Best way probably is to decrease the shutter speed. - Terry

Hi all,

My name is Wouter and i am new to this forum and fairly new to photography. About 1 year ago i bought a Nikon D90 to start off with (my first, very own camera).

I have been taking photo's for about a year now and i am looking to take my photo's to a higher level. After browsing the internet for quite a while i stranded here and was happy to see an audience that gives honest and constructive critisism.

My preference (so far) goes out to nature/landscape photography and i would like to take this oppertunity to show you two of my photo's.

I am new to this forum as well as the DSLR field. I need some information about Nikkor 55-200mm lens. I would like to know how to set the focus to Infinity in this lens.

Hello! I just joined up and I'm looking forward to meeting you all and interacting with the members here, sharing photos, ideas and fun! Photography is my favorite thing to do. Nature photography is best, but I love to try new things too, and I love playing in Photoshop. I use an Olympus E520 DSLR with a 300mm telephoto lens. My area of the world is rather gloomy in winter though, so I sometimes fall back on my old point-and-shoot Panasonic FZ50 with a tele-converter, because the focal length is less, giving it a better chance of getting a halfway decent shot in poor light.
I see numerous interesting, challenging threads here that I know I will enjoy posting to and following. I love a challenge, and I love seeing how other meet the same challenges. People everywhere have such different, interesting ways of approaching the same topics. It is very stimulating and exciting!
