Welcome to the site, Kileigh. We don't care how old you are or how much experience you have. All that matters is you have a passion for photography and a willingness to learn and share. I see that you've already been poking around and posting on the other forums. I hope you're liking what you find :)

You might want to start a new thread here on the ViewFinder forum. The posts in this welcome thread get pretty buried. Don't be shy - start your own thread and tell us what you like to shoot and share some photos!

Hi!

I'm a stay at home mom of 4 boys. I have always loved photography, but never really pursued it for various reasons. Now that my kids are getting older, I'm trying to figure out what to do for myself, so I decided to find out whether or not I have any talent for photography. I've never taken a single class, so I know I have a lot of technical stuff to learn, but I feel like I have a good eye.

I look forward to learning all I can, and getting to know some of you!

Hello everyone! My name is Michael, I am from Belleville IL (I grew up in St. Louis MO)

I am 22 years old and a full time college student, Photography went from a small time hobby to a full fledged obsession :D The Day I purchased my Nikon D40 I knew that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

This place looks pretty awesome, I plan on sticking around and getting to know everyone :)

I'm a Civil Engineer by trade, but photography is another of my passions (my family and fly fishing round out the top four, not necessarily in that order of course). I've been taking "serious" photos for a couple of years and just managed to build a small website with a few galleries. I would love some feedback, so if you get a chance, please drop buy at the link below.

I live in the southeast U.S., and my favorite spot for photos is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, mostly because I can also do quite a bit of fly fishing there too! I'm completely self taught, so I'm sure there is room for improvement, I just need some honest feedback.

Howdy everyone,

I'm Eric. College student at Texas A&M. Got into photography when my mom got her Canon Rebel and I have since bought one. When I moved out I realized no mom means no camera. Really like shooting nature, sunsets, and flower, but I'll shoot about anything if I can. Just really here to learn more and to take better pictures. I've already posted some in the critique forums but I just thought I'd OFFICIALLY say hi.

Hey, my name is Brad and I'm new to this forum. I work for Adobe and have noticed that photography, and software are rapidly merging together. I hope to use this forum to find out more about photography, and also act as a resource. Do any of you have questions or feedback about Adobe products. I am currently working with and most familiar with Adobe CS review.

OK, I'm guessing this is where you more or less give your intro, so here goes....

My name is John, and I live in beautiful Greenville, SC. I've always had an interest in photography since 1974, when I took a B&W class while in broadcasting school to become a DJ. (Big mistake, as no one told me how little DJs made back then.) I decided to go back to school in '04 and get my degree in Graphic Design, something more creative and less stressful than my job in Human Resources, where I had to fire people a lot (something I never liked doing). I had to take another class in B&W photography while in school, which got me REALLY interested in photography, especially digital. As soon as I could afford it, I bought a Nikon D3000, and later added a Nikon 55-200 telephoto lens. Now that I have a decent camera and a couple of lenses to go with it, I'd like to get a little better. Hence, my registering here and my intro. Looking forward to interacting and learning from you all! Thanks! :)
