    Wedding Gallery/or Forum

Wondering if you might be able to consider(depending on interest) setting up a wedding gallery as part of the new galleries or a separate forum category (like Viewfinder, sport photography,etc)...I know there's and event part but specifically wedding would povide a good venue for people gettting into the business or for those who have experience to share....and it would provide a good resource of photographs to reference for ideas.

    Hey Nat

Congratulations on your two thousandth post! (I've got my eye on you and Asylum Steve this time...)

I vote yes, but think it would be better as a new Gallery section rather than a new message board like viewfinder. I think that it would get a lot of hits...

Good idea. Now come to NY.

    Nat-
I think it's a good idea. - for a gallery. I'm not so sure about the forum. We already have the Steve's Studio and Lighting forum. I guess that doesn't really completely cover weddings does it. Let's talk about the forum some more. Maybe it is a good idea. It really depends on how many people would use it. And we'd need a good, experienced moderator.

Back to the gallery. It's no problem to add a new category. Should we limit it to weddings, though? Or should it be "Weddings and Events" or "Weddings and Portraits?"

I'm with Rick on this one. I think a gallery would be a great idea. I don't know that a dedicated forum would be needed, but I would be sure to check out the gallery.

PJ- my vote would be for a "Weddings and Portraits" gallery.

I vote for the gallery too, although I rarely post any of that stuff. If there was a forum, it probably wouldn't generate a lot of traffic (there are already several well established ones on other sites).

    Re: Wedding Gallery/or Forum

I'd vote for gallery as well. I don't think a new forum would generate enough traffic. I think the range of interest on this site is quite varied, as opposed to sites that are more business oriented. This site I think is more general photography than specific area.

    Re: Wedding Gallery/or Forum

It'd be nice to have a wedding gallery separate from events....

I think a forum is a bit much maybe...but a gallery might be good.

I like the idea of the gallery. I don't think we NEED another forum.

But I do like the idea of the photo's being a resource to inspire everyone. Spark their creative juices. Some of us need LOTS of help in that department!!! :-O

    My two cents worth.
