    The Weather Outside is Frightful...

Santa had need of a sled in Oklahoma last night -- with four-wheel drive and chains!

Wow!! This week we have had rain, lightening, thunder, hail, freezing rain, sleet, blizzard snow and sunshine.......in that order. Next week it will probably be back in the 60's...........crazy.

Looks like he is having fun, that is something we don't do here.

No big hills and no snow.

Okay. We had great fun until a certain grandson went airborne and landed with a crash.............which resulted in his broken collarbone............and my broken heart.

Re: The Weather Outside is Frightful...

    Ciao

Sorry, unfortunately these things happen. I fell with my bike racing in 2007 I was crushed vertebrae 5 and the consequence is that I stayed in bed for 2 months and decreased in height by more than 4 cm.

    Paula,

Sorry about the grandson, but he is a kid and will heal quickly, and the cast will be a badge of honor in a couple of days. I know because when I was in second grade (long ago) I broke my arm & colar bone when I found out that a bike can not challange a pickup. Heck, I was a hero three days later when I returned to school in Lawton, everyone wanted to sign the cast.

Sorry to hear about that collar bone. Hope he recovers soon, though I suspect sledding is out for the rest of this winter.

Re: The Weather Outside is Frightful...

Thanks, everybody. He's a tough little kid -- had to be, though. About five years ago my son and his wife were caring for foster children. This little guy and his baby sister were taken from their parents because of neglect. Our family adopted them -- and now my son and his wife are divorcing. Life has been hard on him, but you can survive most anything if you know you are loved -- broken bones and/or broken hearts.
