    He's gone....

Thank you to all of my friends here at PR who sent prayers and well wishes to my Dad recently. My Dad was on the road to recovery, but something happened last night. It's still unclear. He fell and died from a blow to the head he received from the fall or had a heart attack or stroke and fell and died because of that.

He's gone and I'll miss him. He wasn't a perfect man, but he was my Dad and all I had.

RIP Dad. I'll miss you and you'll forever be in my heart.

With all of his grandkids in Christmas of 2005.

Brendan bringing my Dad is jersey before the biggest game of the season. My Dad was a semi-pro football player and coached for many years. I thank god I got him out to most of Brendan's games this season. I meant the world to him.

    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I had a similar thing happen in my family almost two years ago, where we were on the road to recovery and then the person died. I know how unbelievable it can seem. My condolences to your family.

    Jeta,

I'm so sorry about your Dad. Thank you for sharing it here with all of us, your friends. I'm glad you posted the pictures, so we can see some of your family with their grandfather. That's a beautiful image of your Dad after his grandson gave him the shirt.

I'll remember you and your family in my prayers. God bless all of you.

    Re: He's gone....

I'm very sorry to hear this news. We all realize that we are on this earth for just a short time, but when death takes us home, it is very tough to deal with. Your fond memories of your dad will be with you forever. I'm so glad you captured these great shots of him, to share with us. He appears to really be proud of his grandkids. Just managing to capture a photo of an elderly person smiling, can be a challenge. He looks like he was a fun loving guy.

I'll be sure to say an extra prayer for you and your family this evening, to help you cope with this incredible loss.

Thanks for posting your most valuable photos.

My heartfelt condolences, I lost my Father very young and my Mother 7 years ago. Just because we get older doesnt mean we love our parents any less than when we were
    kids.

    Re: He's gone....

Thanks everyone for the support. This has been a really difficult time for me obviously. I'm trying to write my Dad's obituary, clean out his apartment and plan a celebration in his honor. I still just can't believe it. He called me sometimes 4 x's a day. At times I'd feel myself getting irritated with all of the phone calls. Now what I'd give for that phone to ring.....

It'll get better I know. Thanks again.
