    Violet's Birthday: 1927 (huge)

I can't imagine the frustration of having half the girls' eyes closed after going through the trouble of setting this picture up.

From shorpy, which I've never seen before and I'm having a hard time believing the quality of these images!

Also, wfooshee, you're going to have a hard time convincing me the girl at bottom left isn't Lou Crisp, it's exactly as I remember her other than the teeth thing.

I spent so much time looking at the photos on first page, I almost didn't get to Violet's Birthday which by that time, I'd forgotten was the title of the thread.
These shots are amazing...photography has let us see history in details we would not have had otherwise.
In the city shots, I want to know the story of each individual on the streets and in the windows.
Shorpy is now bookmarked...I'll be visiting it oftne.
    Keep Shooting!

Wait till you discover the tags...
    Hint: "Atlanta."

I was hoping it'd reach someone who hadn't seen it. I searched and shorpy's been mentioned once but it didn't look like it generated a lot of interest.

There were a lot of pictures of Pensacola where I went to college, but I didn't see any other small cities listed. Atlanta, though, had several images from when some gent named Sherman visited!
